Beginners Singing Course
Singing, unlike talking is a primal activity.
If you can cry, laugh or express delight, you can physically sing.
When we learn to speak we move towards the muscles that enable our language and not our natural resonance.
You can do it.

What if I'm terrified??
It's absolutely terrifying if you've never sung in front of anyone to even consider making a sound in front of anyone - especially strangers. But I used to be so shy nothing could come out of my mouth. I learned that never being able to express myself is a lonely place to be.
In my courses I create an environment of inclusion and equality. When it comes to learning how to sing and use your voice properly - it doesn't matter whether you have been busking for years or have never even sung "Happy Birthday" to your loved ones. We are all starting in the same boat; you're speaking voice is not your singing voice, and technique is learned.
But I don't think I can sing in front of people...
In the BEGINNERS COURSE we work as a group so you have a chance to develop your
confidence and skills in a supportive environment.
You will be preparing two songs as well as a group piece over an 8 week period.
Each week you will sing out loud in front of a very supportive group and understanding teacher. This will not only put to rest your fears of being worse than anyone else, while simultaneously build your confidence.
At the end of this course we will do a class performance.
(Don't panic - it's private and invite only).
This course is perfect for you if:
-
You have always wanted to sing but have no idea where to start.
-
You've been told you have a 'great voice', and you'd like to learn how to use it better.
-
You've been told you "can't sing" but you enjoy it and are secretly determined to prove them wrong.
-
You sing in a band or just do karaoke, but you'd like to learn proper technique so you won't damage your voice.
