My workshops perpetuate a very supportive, informative and nurturing group environment geared to enabling singers to achieve their goals with the added advantage of learning that they are not alone in their obstacles and fears. Learn to enjoy your voice, and overcome the reluctance to sing out loud.
Beginners Singing Workshop

The Beginners Workshop is the ideal place to start.
​
With the very popular Beginners Course you have a chance to combat your nerves while getting an excellent foundation in singing technique. With this course you will learn all the basics; good breathing technique, increasing your vocal range, improving your tone as well as combatting those nerves.
We work as a group so you have a chance to develop your confidence and skills in a supportive environment. You will be preparing two songs as well as a group piece over an 8 week period. Each week you will sing out loud in front of a very supportive group and understanding teacher. We will progress up to using a microphone and lmicrophone technique. At the end of this course we will do a class performance (on an elected date) in a Concert Hall with professional sound equipment.

Continuing Singers Technique Workshop
Already completed a Beginners Course, and wondering where to next? This is the next step.
With the Continuing Singers Technique Course you will have a chance to move from just discovering your voice, to becoming a singer. In this course you will move to work on specific obstacles you may feel are holding you back. We will look at stretching the boundaries and challenging you.
We will prepare two songs for performance, as well as a group piece involving harmony to be presented in a Concert Hall with professional sound equipment.
This course is only open to those who have completed my Beginners Singing Course.
The Continuing Singers Technique Course is an 8 week course with a limit of 8 students.

Performance Workshop
And when you are ready - bringing it to life.​
​
This course is designed for the singer who would now like to take their skills further; on to the stage. Stagecraft is an essential part of your tool kit as a singer. Having gained a decent handle on your voice and the technical skills you need, the ultimate next step is to step in front of an audience and hold their attention.
​
In this course you will learn how to formulate an 'act', choose material and command an audience. You will be using a microphone for the duration of this course. You will be compiling a "reperatoire" and understanding what makes a good "set list" and what does not.
​
This course is only open to those who have completed my Beginners Singing Course.

The Performance Workshop is an 8 week course with a limit of 8 students.

Harmony Workshop
Coming together - singing with others.​
​
Harmony is an essential part of any singers training. Whether you would love to be able to join a choir, be part of a Musical Theatre ensemble, or just for your own pleasure - having the skills to hear and create harmony will be invaluable.
​
Just as our ears are trained to recognise the subtle differences between sounds in our native languages, so can they be trained to hear the subtle differences between vocal lines. In this course you will learn to listen to the many different sounds that make up the whole of a song. You will also perform songs in harmony and where you are the melody.
​
In this course we will explore different types of harmony and the essentials of perfect phrasing and finding the "blend" with one another.
